Tarangire Osupuko Lodge is a quaint lodge in Tarangire, owned and run by indigenous Tanzanians. They are knowledgeable of the culture and surroundings. Osupuko is a Maasai word meaning “Virgin Land” or “Natural Paradise.”
There are 10 rondavels that have verandahs. The architecture of the rondavels reflects African huts with a modern twist. These cottage-like structures have a bedroom area and en suite bathroom area. The large windows offer panoramic views of Tarangire National Park. There is both an indoor and outdoor rain shower. The outdoor shower faces the park, thus allowing for fantastic views. Family cottages are available. The in room facilities incude: Charging facilities 220 voltage, Hair dryer & shaver facility, 100 litres hot shower available 24/7, and ceiling fan.
Dining, Lounge and Bar
Tarangire Osupuko Lodge restaurant, lounge and bar are under an open roofed structure that overlooks the spectacular views of Tarangire National Park and Tarangire River below. It faces the infinity pool which is located on the edge of the rift valley. All meals are served in the restaurant. Special dietary requirements catered to on request in advance.
There is a well-stocked bar in the lounge overlooking Tarangire National Park.
