Stretched out along the shores of Lake Victoria lies Speke Bay Lodge which looks like a small well set up village. The architecture is influenced by local architectural forms of the Sukuma people and as such are round in form. They are built out of stone, painted and have grass thatch roofing.

Speke Bay Lodge is outside, but only 15km from the Serengeti National Park.

Speke Bay Lodge offers 2 types of accommodation.

  • 8 Bungalows
  • 12 Tents

Each bungalow has veranda,  bed with mosquito net, en suite bathroom with shower, toilet, wash hand basin, soap, towels, bottled water, All rooms supplied with fans, and spray. An additional third or fourth bed in bungalows on request

Note: Tents are not en suite. Hot showers and toilets are located near the tents.

Dining and Lounge
The main area at Speke Bay Lodge has a bar, garden terrace and open air lounge overlooking Lake Victoria. The restaurant offers continental cuisine with some touches of local Tanzanian cuisine. They use fresh fish from the lake and locally sourced produce.
