SERENGETI SERENA SAFARI LODGE

Drawing its inspiration from the circular 'Rondavel' dwellings and winding paths of a traditional Maasai village, the Lodge features thickly-thatched, stone-built rooms, spaciously set amongst groves of indigenous trees that are cooled by sparkling streams and papyrus-fringed ponds.

There are a total of 66 rooms in the hotel. Each room is accommodated in a stone-built, traditionally-thatched 'Rondavel', featuring natural stone bathrooms, wildwood balconies, rope-lashed staircases, leopard-print drapes and intricately carved furniture, the overall effect of which is a unique blend of authentic ethnicity and world-class elegance.

Serengeti Wilderness Camp is a ‘seasonal’ camp located in the heart of the Serengeti National Park. The style of camp is simple, but with every comfort being taken care of. Seasonal camps have the benefit of being able to move to some of the best game viewing areas of the park and every three to six months they move to a new location. They work under Park’s guidelines and the camp is truly eco-friendly.

Comprising just ten spacious tents, they provide comfortable beds and quality linen, with en suite eco-friendly toilet and bush-shower off an intimate dressing room area. Lighting is by 12-volt (solar powered) with bedside lamps provided. The tents each have a shady verandah, where guests may relax and read quietly or perhaps watch birds and animals.A large, airy, central dining tent offers a comfortable lounge area with a small reference library and maps, and a recharging facility for cameras and videos. The safari chef prepares sumptuous meals for your enjoyment and special dietary requests are taken into consideration. They also have a typical safari campfire in the evenings for guests to enjoy sundowners and snacks, and relive the day’s experiences. The staff will cater to your every need, and will be on attendance virtually around the clock! They provide a friendly, intimate quality tented bush camp, with good facilities in an amazing area, with due respect given to the fragile ecosystem.

MBALAGETI SERENGETI

The name originates from the name of the river, Mbalageti River, which can be seen from all angles of the Mwamveni hill. A unique safari living experience, located off the beaten track. The location where tranquility is guaranteed and nature is to be enjoyed in all its facets, includes viewing the ever impressive migration of the Wildebeests, Zebra’s and Topi’s etc. A lot of natural materials were used.

Mbalageti offers standard rooms, tented chalets and a presidential suite. The standard rooms are typical with ensuite bathrooms. All the tented chalets are private and are situated in such a way that both the astonishing view and the immediate surroundings have not been tampered with. The 24 tented chalets are luxurious with ensuite bathrooms and private veranda. The presidential suite offers a little extra of everything and a private outdoor bath right in the wild. Being spacious and with its two en suite bedrooms, lounge veranda with all the luxurious items you might wish for, the suites are the perfect accommodation for the more exclusive safari traveler.

BILILA LODGE KEMPINSKI

The new Bilila Lodge Kempinski is a dream African hideaway offering spectacular views of wildlife roaming over miles of bush, an active water hole and the magical sunsets of the African savannah. Nestled within the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, in the vicinity of the great annual migration.

All of its 74 rooms, suites and villas, feature luxurious en-suite bathrooms and are decorated with handpicked African artwork. The lodge facilities include a restaurant, lobby lounge, bar, boma, wine cellar, art gallery and gift shop. GRUMETI RIVER CAMP

Grumeti River Camp is situated in a remote valley in the western corridor of the Serengeti National Park east of Lake Victoria – Africa’s largest lake. Flanked by two hillsides, this flamboyant camp overlooks a by-water of the Grumeti River and offers a comfortable haven from which to experience the truly wild pulse of Africa.

Grumeti’s spacious tents under ‘makuti’ (palm frond) canopies and the vibrancy of colorful interiors - including hand-blown Kenyan glassware, African cloth and local sculptured furnishings - bring alive the excitement of Africa. Each tented suite features a large bed made of Tanzanian cypress and comfortable deck furniture both in and outdoors. Ensuite bathrooms offer separate w.c’s and alfresco showers open to the sun and stars.

MIGRATION CAMP SERENGETI

This luxury camp is hidden amongst the rocky outcrops or kopjes in Northern Serengeti, exuding decadence reminiscent of Old Africa. Located on the path of the world’s largest mammal migration. The reception is charmingly incorporated into the main lounge area, with comfortable leather couches and tastefully decorated to blend in with the surroundings, facing the swimming pool and the tents below.

Twenty lavish and spacious tents on wooden decks with either king or twin beds, comfortable leather armchairs, coffee and writing tables. The tents are en-suite with showers and double vanities, surrounded by a verandah with rocking chairs.

SAYARI CAMP

Sayari Camp was designed to strike the perfect balance between luxury and immersion in the extensive Serengeti. 'Sayari' is the Swahili word for universe or planet. The dining area, lounge area and campfire create a perfect bush setting, with Africa as the backdrop. The camp's naturalist guides offer a wealth of knowledge on the wonderful surrounding land and its inhabitants.

The 8 spacious guest tents blend perfectly into the majestic landscape. Each tent is beautifully designed with original and traditional cloth and furniture and has a king-size bed, en-suite bathroom and a private veranda with a comfortable couch, overlooking the Serengeti.

SERENGETI SAVANNAH CAMPS

Serengeti Savannah Camp has been specifically designed to retain the feel of a private, Explorer's camp without foregoing any essentials or stressing the environment unduly. Quality, traditional style, walk-in tents co-exist with freezers and gas cookers, the camp fire and hurricane lamps illuminate in harmony with solar power and a 240 volt generator. Everything fits together to provide a modern adventurer's camp.

All the tents are sited to provide the best view. Hurricane lamps outside each tent deter inquisitive night life and the staff guide guests safely to bed. Each camp is designed to provide everything one needs for simple comfort.

SASAKWA LODGE

Sasakwa Lodge is one of the Singita Group properties. It is the flagship lodge of Grumeti Reserves is set high on a hill above the rolling plains of the Serengeti with awe-inspiring views.

With its elegant architecture and furnishings, it is reminiscent of the early 1920’s. The long, sweeping verandas, beautifully appointed drawing rooms, fine antiques and works of art at Sasakwa truly reflect the superlative style of a bygone era.

Enjoy fine cuisine in the beautiful dining room where shimmering silver candelabras, Stuart crystal and Wedgwood china compliment the mighty backdrop of the African bush.

Afternoon tea is served in the garden room, evening cocktails may be enjoyed in the romantic bar and lounge area, and a game of billiards might just be the thing while enjoying a night cap of a fine cognac or rare liqueur.

FARU FARU LODGE

Faru Faru Lodge is one of the Singita Goup properties. Situated in the private Grumeti Reserves, it is one of just three luxury lodges in the practically untouched wild-animal preserves. The lodge can accommodate a maximum of 54 guests. No safari could be more individual and exclusive.

Faru Faru Lodge offers six (6) suites which are perfectly integrated into the environment and offer great privacy along with a breathtaking view over the natural habitat of the animals. The suites are like small penthouses with gigantic glass fronts providing you with a personal “flatscreen” for wildlife in 3-D. The interior is a refreshing, almost capricious, mix of natural materials such as stone, wood, and bamboo with modern elements of chrome and steel. Nevertheless, the safari feeling is heightened by a tented ceiling in the suites, and at night you can hear the orchestra of the bush.

SABORA TENTED CAMP

Sabora Plains Tented Camp is one of the Singita Group properties. It is situated on the Serengeti plains of the Grumeti Reserves, adjacent to the Western Corridor of the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. The area encompasses unrivalled wilderness and forms part of the famous migratory route, which is traversed by hundreds of thousands of animals every year.

Facilities at Sabora Plains Tented Camp include a dining room, lounge and a spacious, covered viewing deck overlooking the Serengeti plains.

Other activities available include badminton, lawn croquet and swimming in the heated plunge pool. If you prefer complete relaxation, the spa features 2 therapy rooms for a variety of treatments, many of which can also be enjoyed in the privacy of your own tent.

SERENGETI SOROI LODGE

Serengeti Soroi Lodge is set on a hill and built amongst rocks overlooking the vast plains of Musabi. The lodge is very unique in design. The rooms are built of wooden stilts around the hill, giving you breathtaking views of Musabi from every angle of your private tented chalet. Watch the great Wildebeest migration twice a year right from your private balcony, while sipping on cold drink.

INTIMATE PLACES SERENGETI CAMP

Intimate Places Serengeti Camp is a truly tailor made experience, they can set up private and exclusive camps.

Each tent consists of a bedroom, a dressing area, a separate shower and toilet each. The dressing area, shower and toilet are all “open air” so as to heighten the experience of living as one with your surroundings. Despite being able to enjoy some breathtaking views as you prepare yourself for the day ahead, privacy is still assured due to the clever design of the tents. And a cover made from ‘insect proof’ netting ensures that the bathroom and dressing room areas are a sealed unit with your sleeping area so as to keep out unwelcome visitors.

IKOMA BUSH CAMP

Ikoma Bush Camp is set in the midst of an incredible vista of savannah and skies, sheltered in a grove of acacia trees. Simplicity and rusticness are the ambiance of the camp. Ikoma benefited from an upgrade when the camp was outfitted with new tents and attached bathrooms. Ideally situated along the path of the migrating wildebeest between Kenya and Tanzania, the camp is situated at the border of the world-renowned Serengeti National Park.

Ikoma has 31 semi-luxury traditional meru tents each under thatch with its own en-suite bathroom, modern furnishings and a private veranda. The central restaurant and bar area boast a large camp fire - an ideal spot to unwind with a drink after a long days exciting game viewing.

IKOMA SAFARI CAMP

Ikoma Safari Camp is a quaint tented camp, located on the main wildebeest migration route between the Serengeti and the Masai Mara. It is a permanent tented camp in the Serengeti, Ikoma region in Tanzania. The Camp is set up on endless savanna with impressive bush and scattered with acacia trees. Other facilities include a restaurant and a bar. Ikoma Safari Camp is located along the migratory path which peaks around June to October when the herds pass through the area. Game-viewing from the breakfast terrace can be superb. Additionally, there is good resident game throughout the year, especially zebras, wildebeest, impalas, giraffes and elephants.

KENSINGTON CAMP SERENGETI

Kensington Serengeti Wilderness Camp offers 10 luxury tents. The ‘Suswa’ tents have been meticulously spread under the shade of the towering Marula trees in a grove not far from the Grumeti River, where huge crocodiles await their nervous prey. Tended to by the attentive staff, guests can wind down and reflect on the sights and sounds over soothing sundowner drinks with unforgettable views of the setting sun. After dinner, guests often retire to the campfire.

KIJERESHI TENTED CAMP

Kijereshi Tented Camp is located on the border of the Western Corridor of the Serengeti National Park. It offers breathtaking views and is a photographer's paradise. The facilities include a video show in the lounge, a restaurant, a bar, swimming pool and gift shop.

It comprises 11 rooms, 5 tents, 4 family suites, 2 V.I.P. rooms and a presidential suite.

KUHAMA CAMP

Kuhama Camp offers you the whole experience of communing with the nature, combined with 5 star comfort and service. 'Kuhama' is the Swahili word for 'to move.' Nothing can be compared to the experience of camping in the heart of the African bush.

Kuhama Camp has 15 tents that provide a complete feeling of adventure combined with maximum comfort. The tents are furnished with every detail: beds and bed side tables, mattresses, carpets, lamps, luggage rack, safari armchairs and table in the verandah, ensuite bathroom with hot water shower, washbasin and flushing toilet. The ample windows with mosquito net keep the tents ventilated and insect free.

Kuhama Camp has electricity trough solar panels and generators ensuring that clients will always have the maximum comfort.

MWANGA MOTO
(Luxury Camp)

Mwanga Moto Camp is under Firelight Expeditions. They specialise in luxurious adventure. The tents are spacious each with its own screened verandah. King sized beds, duvets, hot showers. Cold drinks (always plenty of ice!). Fully stocked bar, Wedgewood china and silverware, more than one staff member per guest. Experienced African chefs prepare fresh gourmet foods, from traditional Africa dishes to continental cuisine. Every small detail is seen to, to ensure the smooth running of each safari. Early morning tea or coffee brought to your tents and poured from china service, English and continental breakfasts. Picnic lunch on safari or buffet in camp. Four course dinners.

KLEIN'S CAMP

Klein’s Camp is situated in a 10 000 hectare / 24 500 acre wilderness concession and provides the ultimate exclusive East African safari. It is bordered to the north by the Maasai Mara and by the Serengeti in the west. Klein’s is situated on the return route of the migration – mid October to November. Guests enjoy their safari on the Klein’s Camp wilderness concession or in the Serengeti National Park. Unique to this camp as opposed to other camps in Tanzania is the fact that night game drives and bush walks are offered and driving off-road in open game-viewing vehicles is permitted. Maasai trackers accompany all game drives and on bush walks offer an insight into the medicinal use of plants. Community visits can be arranged to gain an insight into the culture of the Maasai, and to see our community projects (optional extra)

SERENGETI UNDER CANVAS

Serengeti Under Canvas is up-close accommodation for the duration of the Great Migration in the Serengeti. Accommodation is available on a nightly basis. There are expert rangers, Delicious bush cooking, Dining under the stars. The camp operates year round, even during April and May. Semi-open 4x4 safari vehicles, Private 4 x4 safari vehicles (additional cost) and is located very close to where the action is.

NDUARA LOLIONDO

Nduara Loliondo was designed to celebrate Nomadic cultures around the world: a combination of the Mongolian Gers, and Maasai ‘bomas.’ The outcome of this heady mix of culture, style, comfort and wilderness is the most amazing camp you will ever see.

Nduara Loliondo moves its yurts across the Loliondo area, part of the great Serengeti eco-system, bordering the Serengeti National Park. Being outside of the park boundaries offers great freedom; simple things like walking safaris, and night game drives mean an altogether more intense and real feeling of safari, and wilderness.

SERENGETI SAFARI CAMP

Serengeti Safari Camp travels within the Serengeti National Park and surrounding area, where densities of animals are mostly higher, and the chance of seeing large predators is much greater. It's the base for exciting game drives - conquering the landscapes and absorbing the sheer hugeness of it all. Daily adventures are yours to plan with your own guide to take you into the midst.

Serengeti Safari Camp is semi-nomadic - it won't move while you're there - but it's actually on a wide orbit, shadowing the Migration: so you, your own Tanzanian driver/guide and private 4WD vehicle are as close to a million wildebeest as possible.

SUYAN CAMP

Far from the madding crowd, Suyan Camp has only 5 guest tents, offers gourmet food, great wines, and all the comforts you can possibly expect. Yet a stay here is not about luxury. It is about discovery, exploration and nature in its overwhelming totality.

For thousands of years, the rugged Loliondo land has been the territory of nomadic tribes, hunting and herding for a living. A stay in the intimate Suyan Camp reflects the history of the land. Although the camp is the home base of a stay in the area, walking safaris and fly camping will take you deep into this wild and ancient land. Here you will find wildlife, mountains, gorges, volcanoes, Maasai settlements and the peace and tranquility of endless nature with not a human in sight.

OLAKIRA CAMP

'Olakira' means 'star' in Maasai and with its sister camp, (Sayari Camp), on the Mara River, they cover the best areas of the vast Serengeti National Park. Whilst the mobile nature of Olakira Camp allows it to move to the densest concentrations of wildlife, it manages to surprise with its spaciousness and comfort.

A stay at Olakira Camp is not about 5 star luxury. It is about being in the middle of this wonderful spectacle, with wild animals roaming around camp at night, which is a dream come true to even the most experienced of travelers.

DUNIA CAMP

Dunia Camp is unique and has 7 spacious en suite tents with flush toilets, large bathrooms and a private veranda overlooking the ‘Kopjes’ (rocky outcrops). The camp is available on full board as well as game package basis.

A close knit team of staff provides guests with a warm welcome and prepares delicious bush meals under the stars of the Serengeti sky.

KIRURUMU SERENGETI CAMP

Kirurumu Serengeti Camp is a luxury mobile camp, moved seasonally to take best advantage of the vast Serengeti. The camp is used as a base, a spring board for an early morning game drive, a break for a sumptuous lunch, a respite from the heat of the day and the finale to a day’s adventure where stories can be swapped around a fire. As a small and intimate camp the staff are on hand just to look after a very limited number of guests and so the level of attention and service is always exceptional.

SERENGETI KATI KATI CAMP

Serengeti Kati Kati Camp (a.k.a. Serengeti Medium Camp) is a  mobile tented camp located in Central Serengeti, in a campsite known as Makoma. It is strategically located to cover the vast area of Serengeti Plains. This camp offers comfortable accommodation and a unique opportunity to experience a safari camp. Only a two hour scenic drive from Olduvai Gorge Museum and Grumeti River.
