From its location on top of a ‘kopje’ (rocky outcrop) Serengeti Simba Lodge offers panoramic views over the Serengeti National Park. The lodge is situated in the path of the wildebeest migration and as such enjoys views of the abundant wildlife as this great spectacle takes place. Karatu Simba Lodge is the sister lodge to Serengeti Simba Lodge.

Serengeti Simba Lodge is located in the Ikoma area just adjacent to Serengeti National Park

Serengeti Simba Lodge has a total of 21 rooms and offers two types of accommodation:

  • 15 luxury rondavels under canvas thatch
  • 6 rooms in the ‘Stone House’

All rooms are situated in such a way as to maximise on the views over the Serengeti National Park. The rooms have large beds, mosquito nets, en suite bathroom, hot water, safes, private decks, charging facilities. The tents additionally have a bathtub and private outdoor shower.

Common Areas
At Serengeti Simba Lodge the lounge, dining and bar are constructed around a ‘kopje.’ The panoramic views from this area are beyond compare! The dining is large with an outdoor dining deck with views over the Serengeti. The dining serves a continental cuisine that incorporates touches of local cuisine. Vegetarian meals are also available. All fresh produce is sourced locally. Meal times are flexible. Special dietary needs can be catered to on request. The bar is fully stocked. Enjoy sun-downers on the deck!

Serengeti Simba Lodge is happy to accommodate children 6 years and older, on condition that they share a room with an adult.
