Sand Rivers Selous is an intimate and beautiful lodge, located in the Selous Game  Reserve along the Rufiji River. The lodge is constructed of stone and thatch. It is set under large Tamarind and Mahogany trees, on a rocky peninsula overlooking the wide expanse of the Rufiji river. Accommodation
At Sand Rivers Selous accommodation is in spacious open-fronted cottages made of stone and thatch, that have been raised up on the banks of the Rufiji with amazing views out across the river. The room types include:

The bedrooms, are large with comfortable beds. They are open fronted and the en-suite bathrooms are bush-deluxe, with flush toilets and powerful showers, surrounded by the soothing sounds of the river. In addition to these standard features the 2 suites additionally have a private lounge area and plunge pool.

The Rhino House: The Rhino House is a private and exclusive one-bedroom ‘house’, located near the main lodge, perched up on a hillside, providing the ultimate view. It is the perfect private hideaway; meals are served in your own dining area. The bedroom is intensely romantic, as it has a wide open front overlooking the river and open woodlands.There is a  small pool, fully stocked bar.

Fly-Camping : For the more adventurous, fly-camping at Sand Rivers Selous offers the outdoor experience of a lifetime, and is one of the most raved about things to do. Mosquito net tents are set up on sandbanks, or near a busy waterhole.

How to Get There
There are numerous daily flights to Kiba airstrip from Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar, Ruaha, Mafia, Pemba and northern Tanzania.
