The Pongwe Beach Hotel is a true paradise retreat, set within a secluded bay on the east coast of Zanzibar. Pongwe Beach Hotel has 16 beach front cottages that are surrounded by beautiful gardens. They have a number of room types:

All sea view cottages have traditional lime washed walls, and thatched roofs made from woven palm leaves. You will find various local hand crafted Zanzibari doors and traditional beds. Each cottage also has Double bed, Spacious luggage storage wardrobe, Mosquito netting & fan, Sun beds on your private terrace. All cottages have en suite bathrooms, with Moroccan style walk in showers. The sea view suites additionally have a private plunge pool.
Bar & Restaurant
Under the spacious ‘Makuti’ roof (traditional Zanzibari thatched roof) the restaurant and bar area are lodged. The menu changes daily for both lunch and dinner. They also have a snack menu. The Chefs are flexible and able to cater to special dietary needs.
The bar offers a wide range of cocktails, beers, wines and soft drinks.
The beach at Pongwe Beach Hotel is a stretch of pure white sand, engulfed by a garden of palm trees and flowers. The beach is outfitted with hammocks and beach loungers at your disposal. The atmosphere is relaxed, intimate and exclusive.
