Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge is ideally located within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. It is a few hundred metres from the edge of the Ngorongoro crater rim. Originally the home of Ngorongoro’s first conservator, it still maitains a lot of its original character with its low impact style and natural setting which allows for wildlife to meander through the camp from time to time. Rhino Lodge is close to Loduare gate that is the main entrance into the Ngorongoro Crater.

Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge has 24 rooms. All rooms are en suite with views of the forest reserve from the verandah, a wood burning stove, and hot water bottles.

Lounge & Dining
There is a cozy lounge with a fireplace. The dining & Bar serves African inspired meals. Tea and coffee are served throughout the day.

Rhino Lodge, the Community and the Environment
Rhino Lodge works very closely with the Ngorongoro Pastoral Council, the main governing body of the Masai people in the area. Most of the staff hail from the Maasai and nearby Iraqw tribes. Produce is sourced from the surrounding areas.
