Mount Meru Game Lodge is located between Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro. It marks the midway point between Arusha and Kilimanjaro International Airport. Th property boundaries are marked by Usa River on one side and the animal Sanctuary on the other. The sanctuary provides a refuge for wildlife and birdlife which provide guests with a glimpse of what is to come on their safari.

The lodge was established in 1959 to provide intimate accommodation in a tranquil setting whilst enjoying the surrounding nature and wildlife. The sanctuary provides refuge to orphaned and injured animals. It prepares the animals fore their return to the wild. The lodge’s mature, well tended gardens, shaded terraces, lounge with large windows, and creature comforts all help to enhance the ambiance of tranquility and beauty.

The lodge comprises 2 suites and 15 double or twin en-suite bedrooms. All rooms are individually styled. They all have a veranda with comfortable chairs where guests can take in the tranquility of their surroundings, whilst enjoying the wildlife and birdlife.

Mount Meru Guest Lodge guest bedrooms include single, Queen and King size four-poster  wrought iron beds,  mosquito nets, quilts (sheets and blankets are available on request), large and small pillows.

Dining and Bar
The fine dining room provides the perfect setting meals, prepared by their talented staff. The bar is well stocked with a wide selection of spirits, beers, and carefully selected collection of fine wines.

The Sanctuary
The Game Sanctuary provides a safe haven to African plain game and bird life. They include Eland, Ostriches, Waterbuck, Zebra, Buffalo and of course a variety of birds which come to feed, breed and enjoy the unique freedom offered by this very safe environment. Black & White Colobus monkeys are frequent visitors at the lodge. The Colobus monkeys were once hunted to the point of extinction. Mount Meru Game Lodge fully finance the Sanctuary.
