| Kitulo National Park - Tanzania |
Kitulo National Park is the newest National park in Tanzania, located in southern Tanzania. Locals refer to the Kitulo Plateau as ‘Bustani ya Mungu’ (The Garden of God). It is considered one of the most important watershed areas for the great Ruaha River.
This park is mainly for those interested in Flora and Fauna. Kitulo is a botanist’s dream come true. Kitulo sports over 350 species of plants, including 45 varieties of orchids. Bird-watchers will also find it enthralling to be in the heart on an ecosystem which accommodates varieties of rare birds. Here you will also find endemic species of butterfly, chameleon, lizard and frog. The best way to explore the sights and sounds of this park is hiking.
