Hatari Lodge is located on the boundary of Arusha National Park. ‘Hatari’ is a Swahili word meaning danger. It derived its name from a 1960’s movie Hatari! a John Wayne movie. This is a boutique hotel with each room having its own individual design aesthetic. All furniture and art work are unique as they have been designed and made by hand on site. There are 3 main buildings

Hatari Lodge has nine uniquely designed and comfortably furnished rooms, each with an open fireplace and a spacious en suite bathroom. Each room is designed in the modern retro style.

Common Area
The oldest building at Hatari Lodge houses the central living room and dining. It is set within acacia woodland with panoramic views over Momella, Moount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru. There is an open fireplace which helps to enhance the feeling of coziness and comfort. The cuisine is international an prepared fresh daily using fresh produce. The bar is situated in a way that allows for it to be both indoor and outdoor.

Buffalos, waterbuck, warthogs, numerous giraffes including the rare reticulated giraffes, hippos, bush babies and Water birds enjoy the swampy areas and  feed on the trees surrounding the lodge.
