Babu’s Camp is a tented camp situated in North eastern Tanzania. The camp is set among baobab and acacia trees and has views of Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance. It is constructed out of stone, wood, grass thatch, and natural fabrics. The ambience of the tent interior is warm as it is furnished in warm earth tones. This is an excellent retreat especially for people that enjoy bird watching, nature walks and camping in the forests. Privacy and tranquility are apparent at Babu’s Camp.

Location
It is located in Mkomazi National Park that borders Tsavo National Park in Kenya. Mkomazi National Park stands in the shadow of the Pare and Usambara Mountains.

Closest Airstrip
Visitors should fly to Zange airstrip.

Accommodation
Babu’s Camp is a small tented camp that has only 5 large tents that are well spaced on the property for privacy. All tents have en suite bathrooms with flush toilet and hot shower. They are simply furnished with large double bed or twin beds, writing desk, wardrobe, changing area and safari chairs. Triple rooms are available on request.

Dining and Bar
The mess tent holds both the dining and bar area. The dining area offers both indoor and outdoor seating. The bar is well stocked.

Unique to Mkomazi National Park
There is a Rhino Sanctuary which was established by Tony Fitzjohn. It is Tanzania’s first black rhino breeding programme.
