Arumeru River Lodge is a magnificent lodge spread over 12 acres of beautifully landscaped tropical gardens and natural African bushland, bordering a river lined with precious large old trees. Arumeru River Lodge was built on the site of an old coffee farm. The accent is on traditional eco-friendly African architecture. It is located midway between Arusha and Kilimanjaro International Airport.
There are many relaxing features that include the cosy fireplace, swimming pool, and in the sprawling garden there are a variety of animals: dik dik, antelopes, guinea fowl that roam freely.
At Arumeru River Lodge the walkways to the rooms are scented with the heady aroma of the Angel’s Trumpet trees. There are 3 room types:

The Chalets are tastefully decorated featuring: Bed, mosquito nets, complimentary mineral water, fan, hair dryer (on request), WiFi in room (additional cost), terrace. In addition to these features the Suites also have: more space, luxury bathroom with hair dryer, additional terrace, EU/ US power adapters, WiFi (free)and a safe. The Family Cottage features 2 large en suite bedrooms, living room, kitchenette, air conditioning, hair dryer, WiFi (free).

The Arumeru River Lodge garden is the life of the property with its mature trees, tropical garden with fruit trees, and a variety flowers. This tranquil setting forms the back drop for the abundant birdlife: Hornbills, Ibis, Weavers, Mouse bird, Sunbirds, Guinea Fowl, the rare Vulturine Guinea Fowl are only few examples of birds that can be observed while relaxing on your verandah. Kingfishers can be spotted at the fishpond especially in the early morning hours.
Arumeru River Lodge has a large solar-heated pool is the center of the garden. It is surrounded by palm trees and tropical vegetation. The perfect setting for relaxation.
