Day 1: Arrival | Arusha Town
You will be met at the Kilimanjaro International Airport in Arusha (JRO) by your Driver/Guide and our representative. We will take you to Arusha. Dinner and overnight at The African Tulip Hotel (BB)
Day 2: Manyara National Park
The driver/guide will pick you up at 8 a.m., and then you’ll drive across the floor of the Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. Arrive in time for lunch at the camp. Depart for Afternoon game drive at the Manyara National Park. This beautiful park with its lush vegetation and tropical forests of giant fig and mahogany trees, takes its name from the Maasai word for “euphorbia tirucalli”, a bush which is used to make a thorny hedge to protect their cattle. Elephant, giraffe, buffalo, zebra and a variety of antelope inhabit the park as well as a variety of monkeys and a large population of hippos. If you are lucky you may see the Manyara lions, well known for their tree climbing habits, lazily resting on the branches of an “Acacia tortilis” tree. The birdlife is also abundant, with flamingoes, pelicans, hornbills and plenty of forest species. Dinner and overnight at Manyara Wildlife Lodge (LDBB)
Day 3: Lake Natron
After breakfast, drive to Lake Natron, passing the active volcano Oldonyo Lengai. At Lake Natron check in to camp for lunch, then we’ll visit the lake with its flamingoes. Dinner and overnight at Lake Natron Tented Camp (LDBB)
Day 4: Serengeti National Park (Loliondo controlled area)
After breakfast you start on your way to Serengeti National Park, crossing Loliondo Game Reserve in the Serengeti. Dinner and overnight at Ikoma Tented Camp (LDBB)
Day 5: Lake Victoria
Game-drive on the way to Lake Victoria. In the afternoon drive into the nearby hills to take a look at rural Africa, passing through the small villages of the Sukuma people, who grow cotton, groundnuts, sorghum and cassava. They also keep livestock. Life carries on simply as it has done for centuries, but with a few poignant reminders of the 20th Century! See the local school and take a stroll to the top of a small ‘kopje’. Dinner and overnight at Speke Bay Lodge (LDBB)

Day 6: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast depart for Serengeti National Park. The vast Serengeti plains cover an area of over 14,763 square kilometers and during the months of the migration, is the habitat of huge numbers of wildebeest, zebra and Thomson’s gazelle with estimates of up to 1.5 million. The Serengeti “Kopjes” (massive boulder islands of granite), standing in a sea of grass, provide shelter to a great variety of plants and animals, from the elusive leopard to the tiny dik dik. Day 7: Serengeti National Park
A full day of game drives around Serengeti. Depending on the time of year and the migration of the herds you can expect to see wildebeest, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes and many birds. Overnight at Dinner & Seronera Wildlife Lodge (LDBB)
Day 8: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast we depart for Ngorongoro. On the way you will stop at the Olduvai Gorge where anthropologists Louis and Mary Leakey made many significant discoveries, contributing to the theory that human life originated in Africa. Proceed to your lodge for Lunch. Afternoon at Leisure or visit Maasai village (optional). Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge (LDBB)
Optional Tour: Maasai village visit to learn about the Maasai ways of life at USD$ 40 per person.
Day 9: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast we depart to the Ngorongoro crater floor for a full day game drive. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds, to name a few. Return to the lodge for Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge (LDBB)
Day 10: Tarangire National Park
After breakfast we depart to Tarangire arriving for lunch, and afternoon game drive. Tanzania’s third largest national park and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lion, leopard, and cheetah and up to six thousand elephants. Dinner and overnight at Tarangire Osupuko Lodge (LDBB)
Day 11: Arusha National Park
After breakfast, check out and drive to Arusha for lunch at Arusha Coffee Lodge. After lunch drive to Arusha National Park. Afternoon game drive at the park. Transfer to lodge for dinner and overnight at The African Tulip Hotel (L-DBB)
Day 12: Departure
Breakfast at the lodge; depart to the airport for your outbound flight back home (or Zanzibar extension).
